Hi Alpha & Omega Family,
We were truly blessed to host Pastor Andreas in our home (in Harare, Zimbabwe) for the weekend of the 11th August. Pastor spent time ministering and encouraging us, in our early steps of ministry, as we continue to grow the Harare home church.
Pastor Andreas was able to meet and minister to the Tapson family. Grant, Barbs and their two children, who have recently joined us in the home church. They were greatly encouraged by Pastor’s visit and are excited to have joined the Alpha & Omega International Family.
We were also pleased to introduce Pastor to our discipleship group, that Peter and I have the privilege of facilitating. As a group, we meet weekly and study the foundations of the Christian faith. Journeying together through the ‘Foundations Course’ compiled by Pastor Michael Morris.
Pastor Andreas was also able to reconnect and catch up with Paul and Emily Myburg. Who were previously part of the Alpha & Omega Fellowship some 10 years ago while they were studying in Cape Town.
That Sunday, The weekly webinar service was hosted from our home where we were joined by members, family, and guests who were all touched by Pastor’s message; ‘The Importance of Gods Word in your life’. The service and weekend were concluded with the special dedication of our youngest (of two daughters), Abigail Rose Henson. A precious moment we will always cherish!
Pastor’s visit was clearly in God’s timing. We have been going through some testing times here in Zim recently and were so encouraged by Gods word ministered to us by Pastor on his visit, as well as his input and wisdom shared regarding our ministry here. Since pastor’s last visit in February the Lord has been faithful growing our new ministry here. He has added a family (The Tapsons) to the home church along with giving us a group of new young disciples, through the successful completions of an Alpha course, staying on to be encouraged and grow in their faith. We are excited to be part of what God is doing here and are so grateful to have the oversight and encouragement of Pastor Andreas as we and the ministry grow.
