Over the years that we have been coming to Cyprus, we have built and established wonderful relationships with a number of spiritual leaders, Pastors and their congregations.

In this issue of The Standard, we have decided to publish a few words we have received from these leaders. Those who receive us in the Lord describe how they see and value our ministry and time spent together in Cyprus. We felt that it would be better for you to hear directly from them:

We thank God for Pastor Andreas. He is a man of God who is used by the Lord to encourage and stand with many Pastors here in Cyprus. He shares a common vision for the Church in Cyprus and he comes here twice a year to work with us in building the Church up. Personally, I have a good friendship and relationship with Pastor Andreas over 30 years now and he has encouraged me many times in the ministry. May God bless him and his family.

George Hadjigiannis, Overseer of the Sri Lankan Christian Churches in Cyprus and Israel

Andreas Kyriacou is first of all committed to the Lord. He is also clearly committed to the Church in Cyprus, having come over to us several times a year for many years to serve the churches and the pastors and leaders in various capacities.

The foremost of these is his regular gatherings of key leaders in Cyprus who seek to represent their areas, and who are also committed to him and his ministry of ‘The Praying Church’. We worship, prayer and share together. Andreas loves the word of God and often brings a challenging scripture or prophetic word to the leadership, which is contemporary to the situations he addresses…..a word in season. He also meets with us for a short weekend from time to time, to encourage fellowship and meals together as well as ministry. Our wives also have benefitted from these.

He occasionally calls together a wider spectrum of churches in Cyprus for gatherings, which sometimes gives the people of the churches opportunity to participate, as well as leaders. He always encourages worship and prayer, testimony and fellowship. He is of great value to the churches in Cyprus, and their pastors & leaders. Those who receive him and his ministry are the better for it.

God bless you Andreas, and your wife Christella.

David Harrington, Intercessors for Cyprus

Dear Andrea

I wanted to personally thank you for your faithfulness to the call of God in coming so often to Cyprus to minister to us. I want you to know that these gatherings you organize whenever you come with the leaders and pastors have helped me to get to know other pastors and establish good relationships with them.

These relationships will enable us to prepare ourselves for what the Lord has for us in the near future. I will not forget that in one of these gatherings when we were praying for one another the Lord spoke to me and encouraged me through a brother who did not anything about me.

May the Lord continue to bless these gatherings which have helped and continue to help and encourage many of us.

Harris Panagides, elder of the Christian Centre in Nicosia
