Wise, Truth-filled, Deep, Substantial, Challenging, Fruitful… These are some of the words that come to mind when I consider the ministry and leadership I’ve had the privilege of being submitted to over the past 2 years of my life. Since the first day I met Ps. Andreas, I knew that he was going to be somebody who was a lot more interested in my character than he was in my comfort…

There I was – a zealous, directionless and confused young man/(boy really) of 29 – no job, no car, no girlfriend, no roots, no idea in fact, sitting at the feet of a man I barely knew. (Someone very dear to me introduced us and suggested we meet up.) As I listened to his counsel that day, I was somehow convinced that what he was saying would change my life IF I obeyed! The strangest thing was that I WANTED to obey! This was very foreign to me as someone who grew up without a dad and had a lot of issues with submitting to authority – especially if I didn’t even know you!

He was different though… It was like I somehow just knew that he really cared. That I knew I would be stupid if I didn’t take his advice. In fact, it was probably the first time I felt like a Father was speaking to me! It immediately resonated with my heart and my spirit and I knew this was the father heart of God! Well, by God’s grace I’m happy to say I obeyed!

Through God’s goodness, Ps. Andreas’ continual prayer, input, advice, leadership and preaching led to that little boy becoming a husband with a foundation, a career, a car, a Bible School, purpose and a lot of passion for the future!!!

His love for the Person and the things of God moves you to truly consider the life you’re living! You will always leave his presence feeling like God has so much more for you! And I absolutely love that!

In an attempt to sum up Ps. Andreas’ ministry, I will compare it to the words of Jesus in Luke 8:8

“Still other seed fell on good soil. It came up and yielded a crop, a hundred times more than was sown.” When he said this, he called out, “Whoever has ears to hear, let them hear.”

In humility, he teaches the unadulterated Word of God, something that is lacking in The Body. Having said that, it is for those who have ears to hear… I cannot put it any simpler than that. I thank God for a man who knows Him, yet desires to know Him even more!
